John Morris is a professional market trader, with many years experience. He has knowledge of many styles of trading from very short term day trading to long term trend following. More recently he now focuses on pattern based discretionary swing trading, from a portfolio of around fifty commodity futures and 500 US stocks. He has a varied background both as an airline pilot and musician. All of these disciplines require dedication and practice, adherence to checklists and an analytical mind, these are some of the skills which are essential in successful trading.
John has a extensive knowledge of quantitative analysis in designing trend following models using back testing software, creating robust trading models. He currently trades both a mechanical trend following fund and also discretionary swing trading methods, as described on this site.
